Portals to other dimensions. Space cruisers. Colonies on Mars. Laser-blasting assault rifles. The Dimension Rippers is an exciting testament to the fresh blood of the next generation of science fiction. Strap yourself in and prepare for launch on a mystery-driven, fast-paced, action-packed, inter-dimensional science fiction adventure! Welcome to the year 2097. Thomas Larkin is a college student stranded in a world brimming with revolutionary conveniences like 3-D printers, hover-cars, teleporters and apartment AI systems complete with colorful personalities. Yet, despite such amenities, Thomas feels himself a prisoner to loneliness; adrift in a dull, corporate-driven, dreamless and directionless society. Longing to escape. Craving an adventure. Thomas prefers living vicariously through his uncle, Commander Custer J. Larkin. Custer is part of a secret research program in orbit around Mars, code-named Whirlpool. Unbeknownst to Thomas (and the rest of humanity), the Whirlpool project has managed to rip into dimensions parallel to our own. When a rogue member of Whirlpool absconds with a priceless Dimension Ripper portal, Custer is launched onto a desperate mission to recover the stolen property. Before disappearing on his top-secret mission, Custer dispatches an urgent message to his beloved nephew, delivering Thomas a mission of his own. A mission which propels Thomas on the adventure of a lifetime, to find the "mystery man on Mars." Thomas soars through the chaotic skies of futuristic San Francisco, stalks the domed streets and dive bars of the Martian colony Cresco, and teams up with the gorgeous and intrepid reporter Maya St. Phoenix, the famous "redhead on the Red Planet." Together, these two are rocketed off on a roller-coaster thrill ride across the multi-verse to locate and rescue Thomas' uncle. And, it is rumored that, somewhere across the infinite sprawl of the multi-verse, there exists a utopian dimension. A place that will alter Thomas' downtrodden worldview and change his life forever. But it could take going through hell to get there...
M. Ray Roberts was born in Kansas City and educated at the University of Kansas, in Lawrence, Kansas. In college, he studied Geography, History and beer. Before discovering how much he loved writing, he worked a wacky variety of jobs-including time as a golf course maintenance guy, a clerk at a video store (anyone remember those?), a cook at a pizza joint, a member of a billiard table installation crew, one summer at a hardware store, another summer as a softball umpire, yet another summer as a tour guide at the Kansas State Capitol building, a few foggy years in the pharmaceutical research industry, and time as a digital mapper. He is an avid fan of science-fiction, and when he's not devouring such materials, he is watching sports, stargazing, or on the golf course-either of the disc- or traditional variety. *Like M.
