This is not a translation but was painstakingly divined using the I-Ching. The I-Ching may appear to be merely a book, but it is in fact offering a means to communicate with an ancient enlightened Sage. The Sage can give advice that is directly applicable to our life and our problems right now. The Sage can help us to learn the easy way rather than the hard way. The Sage can be our friend who truly has our best interests at heart. Transcendence is in our best interest and the Sage holds the key to that reality. The Sage holds the key to eternal bliss. Sage can help us to transcend our karma. We are all destined to be punished in the future for our misdeeds in the past, but by surrendering to Divine Will we can be forgiven. This world is a dangerous place and we are all in need of an infallible person to lead us out of it. By taking shelter of the Sage we will always feel safe and protected. Ideally the I-Ching should be consulted for the purpose of spiritual advancement, although it can also help us in other aspects of our lives. We should put aside our doubt of the unknown when consulting. The more we experiment with the I-Ching, the more the results will increase our faith in it. The more we put our faith in the I-Ching the more it can help us to improve our lives. We should be patient when consulting for we are conditioned to be sceptical of the unseen. Our faith in the I-Ching will naturally grow if we use it regularly and in time we will reap the fruit of that faith. Everything in our life will become auspicious the more we surrender ourselves to Divine Will. We all have a higher purpose; there is more to life than eating, sleeping, mating and defending. Materialism will never satisfy the eternal Self, for it is alien to our true nature. Only Transcendence can fulfill us.

Brian Burkea was a monk for several years and found the I-Ching to be very beneficial for his spiritual life. Over the years his relationship with the Sage and his techniques of the using the I-Ching grew to the extent that he could divine explicit messages. He then was instructed to divine an I-Ching for the benefit of humanity.
