Jason Porter Collinsworth is a well-known breeder, author, and activist within the budding cannabis industry. Collinsworth made a name for himself by being an advocate for change audacious enough to step up, speak the truth, and expose the secrets of this elusive and esoteric community. Collinsworth began working with cannabis in 1996 while attending UC Santa Cruz but only seriously focused his efforts in 2011. After contracting a rare gastrointestinal disorder that nearly took his life, Collinsworth had to medically retire from teaching high school English, drama, and coaching soccer. He then founded Love Genetics, an innovative cannabis breeding company and initiated specialized breeding programs designed specifically to combine high CBD and high THC genetics. Collinsworth successfully developed several cannabis strains that are nearly 1:1 CBD to THC with high overall total cannabinoid profiles in the 20%+ range. He continues his breeding and alchemy to create strains genetically designed to cure cancer, Alzheimer's, and gastrointestinal disorders. Collinsworth and his wife, Lara Marie, also gained notoriety within the cannabis community for writing The Unrevealed, an indie cannabis superhero novel that garnered a small cult following. In response to the numerous questions he received after publishing The Unrevealed, Collinsworth created a YouTube channel to discuss his own personal experience with cannabis and to present entertaining information on the subject. In 2015, Collinsworth furthered his activism by authoring The 2016 California Bipartisan Decriminalization of Cannabis Act, a measure that would legalize recreational cannabis in California. While writing and researching his initiative, Collinsworth noticed a glaring need in the literary and online markets, as it was very difficult for him to obtain the resources required to write The 2016 California Bipartisan Decriminalization of Cannabis Act. It became obvious that there is rampant misinformation being spread online and a serious lack of credible and thorough sources. Collinsworth realized the absence of a cumulative and accurate cannabis lexicon and decided to write The Doobieous Dictionary: The A-Z Guide to All Things Cannabis.
