The Early English Metrical Romances Or Perceval, Isumbras, Eglamour And Degrevant is a book written by James Orchard Halliwell in 1838. Lastly, ""Degrevant"" is the story of a knight who falls in love with a princess and must fight to win her hand in marriage.The book is written in the form of metrical verse, which was common in medieval literature. Halliwell provides an introduction to each romance, giving historical context and background information on the stories.
