The book The English Patchwork is a natural method of English teaching, which means it does not rely on another language to teach. Taking hints from context, marginal notes, and the book's beautiful illustrations, students must figure out the meaning of each new word and grammatical concept as they read. Keeping themselves actively engaged with the language throughout each lesson, students are able to learn more efficiently, and achieve fluency much faster.

Lima, Giovanna: - Giovanna is an illustrator from Brazil. She learned to draw by herself, practicing and searching for tips and free beginners' tutorials on the internet. She began drawing realistic portraits with pencil and paper, but has been focusing on digital art since 2020. Art has been in her life since the beginning of her teenage years, at first as a hobby, helping her get through the difficulties she had to face. By illustrating "The English Patchwork" she hopes to get the attention of those who want to learn English in a fun way, with cool character design and colors that will bring to lifethe stories that are told throughout the book.

Tozzi, Pedro: - Pedro studied classics and education at Columbia university. He is particularly fond of the way storytelling (a big social institution even today, but especially in classical societies) serves an educational purpose, making learning fun and keeping up with the memory of a society. By writingThe English Patchwork, he aims to bring a little bit of this tradition to the contemporary world, providing students with a narrative that exposes them to relevant, inclusive content all the while teaching English literacy. Currently, he works as coordinator of the world languages department at his former high school, and as a Latin teacher, developing textbooks like this one and teaching Latin to students in his hometown, Brazil. Keeping up with the Bilingual Revolution, he learned to speak Latin and Ancient Greek, even though they are ancient languages, to better teach his students. Besides work, his hobbies include music, poetry, dancing, and video games.
