Steven James Foreman, FRGS, a former soldier in the British Army, was licensed as a Professional Guide by the Botswana Wildlife Institute, holds a Mountain Leadership Certificate (summer ML) and is a trained and experienced First-Aider. Steve has worked all over Tanzania, Botswana, Kenya, and Uganda and has made several excursions into the DRC. As well as being a safari guide and tour leader, his jobs within the safari industry have included training officer, operations manager, vehicle mechanic, food & beverages manager, camp manager, boat driver, mountain leader, freelance travel writer and anti-poaching assessor for the Tanzanian Rhino Conservation Project (Frankfurt Zoological Society). He was engaged by the Vocational Education Training Authority (VETA) of Tanzania as an Expert Consultant to write and compile the National Training Curriculum for Tour Guides for the Ministry of Tourism and Natural Resources. Steve lives in Uganda with his wife Hellen and their two children, Sam and Ashleigh. He is an elected Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (FRGS).
