"This book is not only a memoir of my experience as a hospice chaplain, but it is also a guide and a source of encouragement for people who are facing the reality of a loved one in a hospice program. My hope is that this book gives you courage and confidence throughout your hospice experience, and in the end you think - 'I can do that!'"

The Exchange of Gifts in Hospice offers hope and inspiration to those who have a friend, loved one or family member residing in hospice.

Labinski, Catherine: - "Catherine Labinski (Cathy) graduated from Alverno College with a B.S. in Elementary Education and earned a Masters Degree in Theological Studies from St. Francis Seminary, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She has served for fifteen years as a home hospice chaplain with Pro Health Home Care in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Her hospice ministry was grounded in a spirituality of mutuality of gift-giving. She shared her gifts with the dying and was open to receive their gifts - trust, wisdom, blessings, songs, courage, laughter, inspiring stories and their sense of peace. She currently volunteers weekly as a chaplain at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. She resides in Dousman, Wisconsin, with her loving supportive husband, Richard, and together they enjoy traveling, going to theater productions, Milwaukee Festivals, dancing and spending time with their grandchildren."
