Dr. Francis (Skip) Fennell is the L. Stanley Bowlsbey Professor Emeritus of Education and Graduate and Professional Studies at McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland, where he continues to direct the Brookhill Institute of Mathematics-supported Elementary Mathematics Specialists and Teacher Leaders Project. A past president of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), he is a 2012 recipient of NCTM's Lifetime Achievement Award. He has had a multi-decade interest in and passion for mathematics specialists at the elementary school level and also has interests related to teacher education and mathematics, formative assessment, diagnosis and intervention, CCSSM implementation, and fractions. Dr. Fennel has been an author or editor on Navigations: Number and Operations - grades 3-5 (NCTM, 2007); Achieving Fluency: Special Education and Mathematics Teaching and Learning (2011, NCTM); What Principals Need to Know About the Teaching and Learning of Mathematics (co-author with Tim Kanold and Diane Briars) (Solution Tree and NCTM, 2011) and others below.

Beth McCord Kobett is an assistant professor at Stevenson University in Baltimore, Maryland. She is president-elect of the Association of Maryland Mathematics Teacher Educators (AMMTE) and the lead consultant for the Elementary Mathematics Specialists and Teacher Leaders Project. Kobett's interests include problem-based teaching, teacher leadership, response to intervention, and student diagnosis. Her published books include CCSS Mathematics in a PLC: Grades 3-5 (co-author with Tim Kanold, Matt Larson, Beth Kobett, Jon Wray, and others. (Solution Tree, 2012) and CCSS Mathematics in a PLC: Grades K-2 (co-author with Tim Kanold, Matt Larson, Beth Kobett, Jon Wray, and others) (Solution Tree, 2012).

Jonathan (Jon) Wray is the secondary mathematics instructional facilitator for Maryland's Howard County Public School System, president of the Association of Maryland Mathematics Teacher Educators and serves as manager of the Elementary Mathematics Specialists and Teacher Leaders (ems&tl) Project. He has served as an elected member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Board of Directors (2012-2015) and president of the Maryland Council of Teachers of Mathematics (2007-2009). Jon's interests include instructional leadership, teacher collaboration, the strategic use of digital tools, and issues related to student access and equity in mathematics education.
