Stephen Palmer is Director of the Centre for Stress Management in London. His most recent publications are Counselling: The BAC Counselling Reader (with Dainow and Milner, 1996), Dealing with People Problems at Work (with Burton, 1996) and Stress Management and Counselling (with Dryden, 1996). He is also co-editor of The Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapist and former editor of Counselling.

Ved Varma was formerly an educational psychologist with the Institute of Education, University of London, the Tavistock Clinic and the London Boroughs of Richmond-Upon-Thames and Brent. He has an international reputation in the area of special needs. Among the many books he has edited are Coping with Unhappy Children and The Needs of Teachers.
