About The Author

Barbara Peters is a Registered Nurse and a Licensed Professional Counselor. Barbara has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, a Bachelor of Sciences in Counseling. She has worked in diverse mental health settings, and has been in private practice counseling couples and individuals for the past 15 years. Barbara is originally from Long Island, New York, but has lived in Georgia since 1986, and recently has re-located to Charlotte NC. Her main passion is working with couples, and seeing them develop a better relationship. In addition to her counseling couples, her recent work as a relationship coach helps people gain trust in their ability to make decisions leading to a better lifestyle.

She also spends much of her time giving back to the community with her therapy dog, Britan.
