Dr. Donna Lane is an award-winning author, a university professor of counseling, and a Christian Counselor in private practice. She is also the founder of the Cody Lane Foundation, which provides individual and small group discipleship and Christian education. She has presented at numerous local, regional, national, and international conferences and workshops on such topics as trauma, grief and loss, prayer, marriage counseling, toxic religion, early childhood education, parenting, narrative therapy, counselor education, and soul care. She is the author of Wilderness Meditations, a devotion for Lent. She is co-author of Strength in our Story: A study of the story of Joseph, a small group Bible study addressing the consequences of trauma and loss. With her husband, David Lane, she co-authored Strength in Adversity, a Biblical study on spiritual warfare, and co-authored and co-illustrated the children's book, God Knows All About You. She is also co-author with her husband, David Lane, of Trauma Narrative Treatment and Gold Stone, resources for trauma treatment that have been used in Haiti, Rwanda, New Zealand, and Newtown, CT, following the shootings at Sandy Hook. She also co-authored the award-winning Ready to Learn series, which teaches preschoolers and elementary students needed learning skills. With her husband, David, she also co-authored the Christian marriage workbook, Please Share the Door, I'm Freezing: Creating Oneness in Marriage. With her son, Hayden Lane, she co-authored the book, Restored Christianity, which is currently in its second edition. Donna and David have been married since 1979, and have three wonderful children; Hayden, who is married to Natalie; Lindsey, who is an emergency veterinarian; and, Cody, who passed away in 2007 after a lifelong battle with a degenerative neurological disorder. They have two grandchildren, Coen and Petra. They live in the metro-Atlanta area.
