Michael Fagan enjoys telling people's stories. His journey has taken him to the Navajo Nation, Malawi, India, Afghanistan, Scotland, Canada, the Dominican Republic, Belize and Guatemala.
Currently, his work is focused on helping businesses and nonprofits inform their clients, volunteers, and the community about the work they are doing. This may include still photography, video, web projects, social media, or a combination of media.
Fagans is a founding member of risingtideproductions.tv; the group recently had a short film screened in the Outside the Box Bakersfield Film Festival, 2013. Fagans is also a former assistant photo editor at The Bakersfield Californian, where he focused on multimedia, video, and web projects for the photo staff, curated the SEEN page, and worked with the front page designer.
Fagans graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology's College of Imaging Arts and Sciences. He was the National Press Photographers Association's Photographer of the Year for 2005 for New York state and Ontario and Quebec provinces.
