This book is my personal journey with a man that I loved and how the detour of cancer presented challenges that not too many people understand. Written in vulnerability, I share the highs and lows of having to live with a man who suffered with cancer, the obstacles we faced as a couple, and how I have not only survived...how I learned to live again.

Mary A. Hailey (Now Mary A. Charles) is a Mother, Grandmother, Minister of Music, Song Writer, Psalmist, and now author. She received Jesus as her Savior at the age of 16 on November 24, 1980 and was filled with the Spirit of God 2 years later. She has been in the ministry for several years first ministering at the Boron Prison. In her years of prison ministry she had the opportunity to visit other prisons and thoroughly enjoyed the way the people responded to the word of the Lord. Later on Mary was married to Pastor Myron and they were anointed for the pastorage. They had pastored at the Fort Irwin Gospel Service, Marine Corps Logistics Base Chapel, and Bethany Christian Fellowship Incorporated. On June 22, 2009 Pastor Myron went home to be with the Lord where his 6 year struggle with cancer ended in the presence of an awesome God. Upon God's leading after the home going of her husband Myron, Mary joined the ministry of Harvest Time Ministries under Pastor Angelo & First Lady Shirley Quinlan. In 2011 under the leading of the Spirit of God, Mary moved to Texas and attended Living Word Worship Center where she continued to grow under the pastoring of Jack & Kathy Dunn. To date Mary continues to grow spiritually and now lives in Port Angeles, Washington. Her profession is an Optical Apprentice while also attending Ashford University. Ministry for Mary has expanded over the years to include speaking or singing at various events that the Lord would lead her to: including an awesome opportunity to minister in song in Japan.
