About The Book

The Jumbalees set off for a night's camping in the forest but Fred has to stay behind and finish his homework. On their walk through the forest Elvis entertains them with poems. They set up camp, but just as it was getting dark and they were about to go to bed, a distant wailing sound in the night scares them. What kind of creature could it be? They set off cautiously in the dark to find out where the strange noise is coming from.

About The Author

Evans, Chris: -

In 1969 Chris completed a degree in 3 dimensional design at Leeds College of Art. In the following year he did a post-graduate course at Bristol University in Radio, Film and Television Production and obtained a Distinction grade. As part of the course he made a short animated film called, "Come into my Parlour," that was exhibited at the Paris Biennale and the Edinburgh Film Festival.

Chris started his career in art as an animator in 1970 with a company called Halas & Batchelor. The first major series he animated was, "The Jackson 5ive."

Over the past 40 years Chris has worked as a key animator on many TV commercials and series, including Superted, The Beatrix Potter collection, The Animals of Farthing Wood, The Forgotten Toys, Snailsbury Tales and more.

He has also worked on the feature films, "Watership Down," "The Twelve Tasks of Asterix," and, "Lucky Luke and the Daltons."

In 1998 Chris directed his first animation series that was aired on television. This was called, "Little Monsters," and was based on a set of books by Tony Garth. He has since directed other television series including, "The Likeaballs," "The Dorkhunters form Outer Space," "Zorro," and the third series of, "Horrid Henry."
