"An invaluable resource for anyone navigating perimenopause, menopause, and neurodivergence-and for the clinicians, partners and loved ones who want to better understand their experience." -Dr. Claire Phipps, BSC, MBBS, MRCGP, General Practitioner & British Menopause Society accredited Menopause Specialist

You're not alone-and you're not imagining it.

Currently, more than one billion people globally are experiencing peri/menopause, and up to 1 in 5 of them are neurodivergent, experiencing hormonal chaos on top of executive dysfunction, sensory overwhelm, and emotional dysregulation. The Neurodivergent Hormonal Survival Toolkit was created to cut through the confusion and give you fast, actionable clarity-without spending hours Googling or getting gaslit by medical providers. This is your map through the madness, designed specifically for brains like yours.

If you're a neurodivergent AFAB person in peri/menopause, this book will help you:

  • reduce overwhelm
  • gain clarity around symptoms
  • confidently advocate for yourself in healthcare interactions
  • feel measurably more in control of your day-to-day life

You'll shift from feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, and frustrated to feeling empowered, prepared, and validated, with actionable strategies and tools.

The overlap between menopause symptoms and neurodivergent traits creates confusion and heightens distress, but all of this is amplified if you're being excluded from the conversations and funded studies.

"It is a relief to be so clearly seen and affirmed."

-Lasara Firefox Allen, MSW, Author of Genderqueer Menopause

Menopause is not a gendered issue. It's a global healthcare crisis that affects everyone, and inclusivity matters.

Inclusivity is not a footnote here; it is the foundation. This book is for anyone who finds themselves at the crossroads of hormones + neurodivergence-AFAB, cis, trans, nonbinary folks, partners, clinicians, and all who care for or about someone in this intersection. Gender, race, class, diagnosis, and culture shape our experiences, and no two ND peri/menopausal odysseys look the same.

If you're diagnosed, self-identified, or just "wondering," cisgender, queer, trans or nonbinary, Black, white, Asian, Indigenous, Latinx, you belong here, no matter your age, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, neurotype or star sign.

Glasco, Sarah L.: - Dr. Sarah L. Glasco (she/her) is a late-diagnosed dyslexic ADHD/OCD writer, hypermobile human, IOATH-certified gender-affirming menopause care consultant, neurodiversity activist, and producer, editor, and co-host of the ADHD Peri Punks Podcast. She currently leads clinician outreach for the NeuroDiversion Event and spends a significant amount of time trying to drag conversations about neurodivergence, hormones, accessibility, and healthcare equity out of the dark ages.An ex-professor/published scholar who escaped academia with only moderate psychological damage, Sarah is also a classically trained cellist, multi-instrumentalist rock musician, indie press boss and mom to two grown neurodivergent kids. She has lived and worked in the UK and France and brings a deeply interdisciplinary perspective to her work, bridging research, lived experience, education, storytelling, advocacy, dark humor, and the occasional profanity-fueled existential spiral. Her work focuses on the frequently ignored intersection of neurodivergence, hormones, burnout, identity, accessibility, and systemic inequity, particularly as they affect AFAB and gender-expansive people navigating peri/menopause and beyond. She is especially interested in the ways capitalism, patriarchy, medical misogyny, ableism, and chronic masking quietly grind neurodivergent people into dust while still expecting them to answer emails professionally. Most recently, Sarah presented research on neuroinclusive teaching and learning at the 2025 International ADHD Conference and facilitated "Hormones Gone Rogue," an expert panel on the intersection of hormones and neurodivergence, at NeuroDiversion in Austin, Texas in March 2026.
