Alex Brody is a husband, father and serving US Marine. He is entwined in activities that are a construct of clandestine operator Ed Truman. Mortally wounded under instructions from Truman, Alex is saved by Truman himself.

Ed Truman has an agenda that would rupture the very fabric of ethical and moral boundaries, he uses Alex as a test subject in a controversial treatment at a black site in the United States. Unoptimistic that he would survive, Truman sees his vision realised when Alex makes a startling recovery with the help of a serum that introduces nanomachines to his body, allowing faster healing and sharper senses. Truman delivers a blow that could make or break his vision for Alex, he informs Alex that his wife Sarah and daughter, Emily were murdered by heinous cult, The Arc of Evermore. With nothing to lose, a supposedly enhanced nervous system and desire for vengeance, Alex Brody becomes the Nothingman.

McGuinness, Darren: -

Darren began writing fiction in 2022, first publishing The Nothingman on ebook and paperback. With a writing style that is accessible and heavy on character and a scene orientated narrative he allows the reader to connect and become entwinted in the charater's perspective.

Darren draws a lot of his inspiration from his own experience growing up and working in and around Glasgow, Scotland. With a background as a Paramedic working in prehosptial emergency healthcare he describes it as a priviledge to experience humanity in it's best, worst, happiest, sad and most weird and wonderful!
