He has written many bestsellers including puzzle books on Radio 4, The Archers, The Train Lover's Puzzle Book, Literary Puzzle Book as well as Cat Wisdom: 60 Great Lessons You Can Learn from a Cat and a long running series on Chinese Horoscopes. He also sets puzzles for a newspaper syndicate. Before writing full-time, Neil was a researcher for the BBC for 25 years and mainly based at the BBC Written Archives Centre. He enjoys travel, especially to colder climes, writes haiku and is a member of the Magic Circle. He lives in Berkshire with his wife and has two adult children.
