At the peak of his medical career in St. Martins, Dr. Michael Lankford decided to leave his partner and life-long friend Case McPhail and move to Crosgrove with his wife Jill, to be near their daughter Anna and her husband. He befriended an old man who was one of his patients, and together they attempted to solve a case that had grown cold and was gathering dust in the local police files. The heartache of one mother who'd lost her child drove Michael to do things he never dreamed he was capable of doing. He found out that truth could set a man free or cause him to squirm, depending on what he was hiding. The events that followed caused Michael and Jill to question their decision to make such a dramatic change in their lives, for the losses they incurred once they moved to Crosgrove tested the boundaries of their marriage and their lives. A tale of courage and an obsession for the truth, this story pushes caution out the window and keeps you on the edge of your seat. But the book will remain with you until you've read the last word.

Nancy Veldman lives in Destin, Florida with her husband Richard. They have four children and ten grandchildren. Nancy is an author, pianist, and watercolor artist and her works are moving across America. She owns Magnolia House, a boutique at Grand Boulevard in Sandestin, Florida, and has released nine cds and written five inspirational books.
