""The Robbers"" is a play written by German author Friedrich von Schiller. The play tells the story of two brothers, Karl and Franz, who are born into a wealthy family but have very different personalities. Karl is idealistic and rebellious, while Franz is pragmatic and power-hungry. When their father dies, Franz inherits the family fortune and becomes the head of the household. Karl, feeling betrayed and oppressed by his brother, turns to a life of crime and becomes the leader of a group of robbers. The play explores themes of power, morality, and the struggle between individual freedom and societal expectations.
