It introduces the learner to the Chinese phonetic system Hanyu Pinyin and authentic dialogues for everyday situations. Yan Yan Chan is a lecturer in the School of Chinese at the University of Hong Kong and author of University Putonghua I and II. Hong Yang is an assistant lecturer in the School of Chinese at the University of Hong Kong. She teaches Chinese as a foreign language to international exchange students. Yuk Yeung is a lecturer in the School of Chinese at the University of Hong Kong and author of University Putonghua I and II. Wei Zhang is an assistant lecturer in the School of Chinese at the University of Hong Kong. She teaches Chinese as a second language and Putonghua.
