This is a love story novel based on historical facts of the Mail Order Brides that went west in the USA in the 1870's. Written as a love story, it none-the-less covers the trials and tribulations that met many of the mail order brides of the era. It's a poignant love story about Annie Allen leaving her home in Cincinnati in 1875 in response to a request for a mail order bride made by a man in The Wyoming Territory who may not be exactly as he describes himself to be. When she arrives in the wrong town, it's the town sheriff that grabs her attention and eventually her affections. Gary has a way of telling this tale with both feeling and actual historical facts that make this novel stand out from so many others.

Gary L Gresh is a retired U.S. Army Colonel who lives in the village of Flat Rock, North Carolina. This is the first book of the Twin Forks Western Bride Series. He has written and published eight books to date and is currently working on two more. Gary is a historian by heart and education and loves the western historical novel and romantic historical novel formats as a means to bring history alive to today's audience. All of his books are available in both Amazon Kindle and Paperback editions, all available on Amazon.com. He strives to get his history correct, while all of his characters are fictional. An Authorized OSHA Trainer from the U.S. OSHA Outreach Institute, he also holds two advanced academic degrees and is a graduate of The Army War College. His passion for the history of the US Civil War era led him to collecting civil war memorabilia and writing about the Post Civil War West. He and his wife of 50 years, Barbara, moved to Flat Rock after his 30-year career as a Paratrooper in the US Army. A distinguished Officer, he served in many Special Operations Units in two branches of the Army and was awarded over 22 Army awards during his career. He commanded an Infantry platoon and Company in Vietnam, a Special Forces A-Team in Germany, a Battalion at Fort Jackson, S.C. and a Brigade sized unit of the 18th Airborne Corps in Operation Desert Storm in 1990-91.
