About The Author

Herrington, Louise: - Louise obtained a Business Studies & Accounting honours degree and went on to train as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse, one of the top three Accounting practices in the world. Her passion was always music & singing, so she studied voice privately for a couple of years. The English National Opera started a training course called "The Knack", and she was one of the first students taking this year long training in 1995/1996. After the course and time at the Mayer Lissman Opera School, Louise went back to being a chartered accountant in corporate life, but still continued singing. She is in demand as a Verdi singer and likes confusing musical directors with her ability to keep swapping between soprano and mezzo roles. Performance Accountancy is a combination of both professional worlds. The business offers accounting & taxation services to Musicians, Actors, Singers, Dancers, Voiceover artists as well as other performers, people in the arts, media & entertainment arena, and the creative industry that surrounds them all. As Louise still performs, she has in-depth knowledge of the frustrations of trying to be creative & perform, alongside the administration nightmare that people face in dealing with finance & tax. In 2017, Performance Accountancy was a finalist in the Accounting Practice Excellence Awards as one of the top 5 specialist teams for her work with performers, so you know you are in good hands here. The image of a boring accountant is far from what Performance Accountancy represents.
