The newest lovable creatures from the land of make believe:

Squich and Squod.

Their names may sound funny, even quite odd,

But not to those living in Goldenrod.

And who lives in Goldenrod with Squich and Squod? A group of friendly and kind farm animals, including Ram and Ewe, Drake and Duck, Boar and Sow, live in harmony in this peaceful village.

Squich and Squod are a popular and sociable couple without children of their own. Much to their surprise this situation changes when a walk to the waterhole leads Jack and Jenny donkey and the fowl of Goldenrod to the discovery and rescue of the adorable Squidgem.

  • cuddly new imaginary characters
  • farm animals with generic gendered names
  • comfort of a small rural setting
  • introduction to the notion of kin and found family
  • light excitement to engage young listeners
  • rhyming verse that will charm and amuse young and old alike
