Dee Daugherty created successful teams for over thirty years in the United States Army before founding the TotalCourage! Institute. An inductee into the US Army Officers Candidate School Hall of Fame, Dee is also an honor graduate of the US Army Airborne School, among others. Completing his master of science from the National Defense University, Dee began his career as an enlisted infantryman and worked his way to a senior officer, where he ran complex combat operations worldwide.

Kenneth Marfilius graduated from Syracuse University, where he excelled academically and as a Division I athlete. He then received his master's degree in social work from the University of Pennsylvania, where is he currently completing his doctoral studies. He is a recipient of the US Air Force Health Professions Scholarship and a direct commission to the US Air Force, where he managed mental health programs as a licensed clinical social worker.
