This Epistolary Structured biography, containing over 160 pictures, maps, news clippings & letters, plus a 75 page reference section; presented in chronological order, is the true story of pirate captain, Bartholomew Roberts.

Having revered Bartholomew Roberts since her formative years, V'léOnica, not only made, The Great Pirate, the centerpiece when she created her pirate website in 1996, she took it upon herself to become his Champion. In dedicating her life to the task of, 'Setting the Record Straight, ' she moved to Pembrokeshire, Wales, where she met his Mirror Image, who, incidentally, asked her to marry him the next day, & believing him to be the reincarnation of he whom she had fallen in love with during her quest, they were married in her beloved Little Newcastle Church. They lived happily for more than 10 years, when alas he succumbed to lung cancer, and altho' pining for him, she endeavored to finish the two books she had begun whilst he lived: 'BLOOD & SWASH: THE UNVARNISHED LIFE (& AFTER-LIFE) STORY OF A PIRATE CAPTAIN, ' a Narrative, is a two-part Anthology, & 'THE TRUE ADVENTURES OF THAT GREAT PIRATE, BARTHOLOMEW ROBERTS, ' is Presented in Prose. Both being completed in May 2018, are Epistolary Structured.

In addition to these, V'léOnica, after scribing the captain's log with a quill on parchment, had it published, in it's original cursive, under the title of, 'Captain Bartholomew Roberts, A Pyrate's Journal The Most Successful Pirate of All Time!' This title, with a couple changes, is being re-released in the summer of 2018.

A rather bizarre aspect of the Journal are the numerous detailed maps & tall ships contained within; each having been drawn in ink by one who had virtually no experience in drawing, especially in relation to sailing vessels & maps. To this, V'léOnica maintains the log was a product of 'Automatic Writing;' a phenomenon that left her when that log was completed, in the Summer of 2004.

Aside from her writings & website about Captain Roberts, V'léOnica is an accomplished Equestrian, who for several decades, trained, showed & bred fine horses. Coming from a family of outdoorsmen, she is also a skilled marksman, with both firearms, bow & arrow, and although it's been some years, she use to be quite handy with a sword (foil and rapier).
