Joe Klaas is the author of nine books, including The Twelve Steps to Happiness and Twelve Traditions for All of Us. He served as an American volunteer Spitfire pilot in the R.A.F., and won twenty British and American decorations. He was also a radio newscaster and an Associated Press correspondent. Klaas was a guest on dozens of talk shows and conducted seminars for counselors, psychotherapists, medical doctors, and patients from coast to coast. He died in 2016.

Jennifer Schneider, MD, PhD, is a physician specializing in internal medicine, addiction medicine, and pain management. She has written ten books and many articles in professional journals about addictive sexual disorders and the management of chronic pain with opioids. Since retiring from direct patient care, Dr. Schneider has been writing, lecturing, and appearing on television and radio in her capacity as a medical expert.

Gayle Rosellini has worked and published widely in the field of chemical dependency. She is the author of a pamphlet on relapse prevention titled Stinking Thinking, and the coauthor of several twelve-step books, including Living Recovery and The Twelve Steps to Happiness.

Mark Worden was a professor of psychology at Fairfield University in Connecticut. His doctorate was from St. Louis University. He died in 2002.
