Inspiration and spiritual renewal are the building blocks of the journey from the depths of depression to an enlightening crescendo that reinforces the goodness of God. The common experiences that link the souls of man are found in the insightful poems about lost love...death...abuse...pain and many more of those things which will bring tears to our eyes. She reminds us repeatedly of the Biblical confirmation that God hears and sees our weeping and the situations that cause it. Woven through the verses of her poems are the doubts and fears, mistakes and weak faith, hope and trust that make us human. She asks the complex question "Can the same vessel contain peace and pain?" Then answers ... "Only the Lord can give peace to the pain filled Soul."

s m bergman has been writing poetry for over twenty years following the suicide of her first husband. The Voice of Weeping is a collection of her most intense poems inspired by her life experiences. She graduated from Guilford Technical Community College with an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts. Today she lives in the quiet southern community of Southmont, North Carolina with her husband Danny and dog Simon.
