Legg, Tricia: - Tricia has a vivid imagination which surfaces every day and just a very few of those mind meanderings make it on to the page as a story or as illustrations. 'The Weatherstons from Featherston' was one such occasion in collaboration with Mike Legg, who wrote the final text in his fabulous rhyming style. The process can be fast and fun over a couple of days or the ideas may sit and wait for the appropriate starting point. In this case it was the silliness of the title and a special trip to the town of Featherston by Tricia Legg and Mike Legg which cemented the plot. Tricia was also the book designer and had the camera ready for the necessary shots before her essential graphic design skills gave the book further magic.
