The Woodpecker's Headache is a bilingual, English-Spanish, illustrated children's book. The story is about Mr. and Mrs. Woodpecker who are getting ready to start a family in the tropical country of Panama. Mr. Woodpecker sets off to find the right tree for a nest. One tree in particular gives him much trouble and he gets a terrible headache from trying to dig out the nest. Mrs. Woodpecker helps him recover and once he feels better, Mr. Woodpecker sets out again as he's determined to find the perfect tree. He finds it and makes the nest. Mr. and Mrs. Woodpecker are very happy and start their family. The book contains information about the woodpecker featured in the story and its habitat.
