Nicht nur in den Medien, wird die Kollision verschiedener Weltbilder oftmals angesprochen und nicht selten auch als ein Problem dargestellt, auch in den deutschen Schulen ist dieses Thema nach wie vor präsent. Die allgemein verbreitete Uneinigkeit spiegelt sich bei Kindern und Jugendlichen in der Schule wieder, welche aus heterogenen Gruppen bestehen und zu Themen, wie beispielsweise zur Entstehung der Welt, die unterschiedlichsten Vorstellungen besitzen können. Die Schöpfungslehre im Speziellen, kann sich, insbesondere bei der Gegenüberstellung mit der Evolutionstheorie, als eine komplizierte Thematik herausstellen, da das Aufeinandertreffen von Religion und Naturwissenschaften ebenfalls zu einem Aufeinandertreffen von Weltsichten zwischen Schülern und Schülerinnen führt. Der Unterricht zu Thema wie diesen, erfordert daher selbstverständlich nicht nur Neutralität und eine adäquate Wortwahl seitens der Lehrkraft, sondern auch geeignetes Arbeitsmaterial. In wie weit wird jedoch eine streng religiöse Weltsicht im Unterrichtsmaterial thematisiert und wie verhält es sich ebenso mit einer rein wissenschaftlichen Sichtweise? Im Folgenden, wird sich der Fragestellung gewidmet: "Inwiefern wird der Kreationismus und Szientismus in Schulbüchern, für das Fach Religion behandelt und welche didaktischen Probleme können dabei auftreten?"
