Kumbon, Daniel: - Daniel Kumbon studied Journalism and Media Studies at the University of PNG. In 1983, he helped to establish Enga Nius under the Communications Development Component of the over-all Provincial Development Program called 'Enga Yakaa Laseamana or EYL for short. The five-year project was a national government initiative facilitated by a K8million loan from the World Bank.Daniel started his career in the media industry with the National Broadcasting Commission in 1977. Then, as Director Media and information Technology in the department of Enga Administration. He also edited the popular provincial newspaper Enga Nius until 2008. He has won many international scholarships over the years.He has published several books. Included are a small supplementary reader 'Climbing Mountains' and his first novel 'The Old Man's Dilemma'. This book: Choosing Peace is his 10th book.He is married with 11 children and 22 grandchildren. He currently lives in retirement in Enga province. As a professional journalist, he continues to contribute to the two daily newspapers as a freelance writer.
