Judge Meron is the author of 12 books, mostly on international law and 2 on chivalry in Shakespeare, one of which received the best book award from the American Society of International Law, and more than a hundred articles, including some of the books and articles that helped build the legal foundations for international criminal tribunals. He has taught at NYU Law School, Harvard, Geneva, and Oxford. He is an Officer of the French Legion of Honour, Grand Officer of the French National Order of Merit, Officer of the Order of Merit of Poland and Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George of the United Kingdom and President of UN War Crimes Tribunals, as a leading professor of law, and now as a visiting professor of law in Oxford and Honorary Fellow of Trinity College.
