From the warm streets of Sincelejo to the sunsets over the port of San Benito Abad, Jess Manuel Mier Tous offers us a deeply human story-woven with loss, silence, migration, illness... and faith.
This book is more than a personal memoir; it is a soul-born offering for those who have ever felt they couldn't go on, yet still find themselves standing.

Between canoes crossing the river, sun-drenched childhood games, and the towering Basilica of the Lord of Miracles, the author recalls his roots in a Colombian Caribbean shaped forever by the warmth of its people, its traditions, and its flavors.

Jess shares, with unflinching honesty, his struggle to become a doctor, his journey as a young father, his exile-both inner and physical-and the diagnosis that changed the course of his life.
But he also speaks of reunions, of scars that turn into doorways, and of a hope that never dims.

This is not a self-help manual. It's an open letter.
A brave confession.
A soft yet steadfast reminder that if you're reading this, it's not over. Not yet.

Insto, Perduro, Obsto, Numquam Cedo.
(I press on, I endure, I resist, I never surrender.)

Tous, Jesus Mier: -

Jesús Manuel Mier Tous was born in Sincelejo, Sucre, and grew up in San Benito Abad-a corner of the Colombian Caribbean that forever shaped his way of seeing life. He is an Environmental Engineer with experience in sustainability, agriculture, and land stewardship-one of his deepest passions.

This book, his debut work, is more than a personal narrative: it is an open letter, an act of healing and remembrance. Though he doesn't consider himself a writer, he writes to honor what he's lived and to find meaning in what has been lost.

Jesús is a family man, guided by the love of his mother, his son, his wife, and his siblings. He dreams of healing the world through the environment, medicine, and public service, firmly believing that real change begins in the soul... and in the people.
