"This Scarlet Dancing" is the third book of poetry by Meg Smith, whose book "Dear Deepest Ghost" is also available on Amazon. "This Scarlet Dancing" includes poems of love, loss, the natural and supernatural, and the darkest and brightest spaces of imagination. In her foreword, media historian Donna Halper says, She is a keen observer of the world around her, and throughout This Scarlet Dancing, there are snapshots of a life deeply felt, filled with experiences that are worth remembering."

Meg Smith is a writer, journalist, dancer and events organizer who lives in Lowell, Mass. Her poetry and fiction have most recently appeared in or have been accepted for publication to The Cafe Review, Poetry Bay, Strange Horizons, Bewildering Stories, The Horror Zine, Star*Line, and many more. As a journalist, her reporting has been honored by the New England Newspaper And Press Association, including first-place awards for coverage of religion, and racial and ethnic issues. She is a past member of Lowell Celebrates Kerouac!, which organizes a festival dedicated to Lowell-born author, Jack Kerouac, and producer of the Edgar Allan Poe Show, honoring Poe's presence in Lowell. As a writer and Oriental dancer, her travels have taken her to Egypt, Turkey, Ireland, her mother's homeland; England, and many more places. She welcomes visits to megsmithwriter.net.
