He receives a wee bit of help from a tiny, old woman in a brown hat who may just possess some holiday magic. A struggling young family is helped by a kind-hearted, generous, elderly neighbor at Christmas in Christmas Cakes. In The Red Velvet Suit, Santa's son is poised to assume the role of the one and only Santa Claus as his father retires. But first, he needs to order his own red velvet suit. He pays a call at Jack Frost's Tailor Shop where he learns that Jack is missing and Jack's daughter, Crystal, is desperate to find him before Christmas is ruined by the nasty elf who's kidnapped him. As Chris Noel gets ready for his first flight as Santa, he can't stop thinking about Crystal- because every Santa Claus needs a Mrs. Claus. And he needs to help Crystal find her father before the North Pole is nothing but a muddy mess.

Susan Buffum works as a medical secretary and writes as a hobby. She resides in western Massachusetts with her husband, John, and her daughter Kelly, who also writes. They share their home with two literary cats- Revere and Riley-Beans.
