Hartl is an Associate Professor of Aerospace Engineering at Texas A & M University with a history of multifunctional structures research that includes government laboratory and industry projects. He leads both experimental and theoretical development efforts and was the 2016 winner of the ASME Gary Anderson Early Achievement Award.

Kobayashi, Marcelo H.: - Marcelo H. Kobayashi is a Professor at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He received a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and PhD in Mathematics from IST/TU Lisbon.
