Examensarbeit aus dem Jahr 2004 im Fachbereich Didaktik - Chemie, Note: 1, Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main (Didaktik der Chemie), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: n der chemiedidaktischen Literatur werden toxikologische Fragestellungen in anderen Zusammenhängen oft theoretisch mitbehandelt, aber eine für den Unterricht geeignete experimentelle Erschlie ung der Toxikologie und besonders ihrer Grundlagen hat bisher nicht stattgefunden. Meistens werden nur spezielle Aspekte, einzelne Gifte oder Stoffgruppen betrachtet. Vielfach publiziert sind die Enzymhemmung durch Schwermetalle und Nachweisreaktionen für Gifte. Die medizinische Behandlung von Schwermetallvergiftung wurde auch schon thematisiert. Wendet man sich der Biologiedidaktik zu, so ist festzustellen, dass dort abgesehen von der Enzymhemmung und Nachweisen ebenso wenig Experimente zur Toxikologie vorgestellt werden. Es finden sich neben der genauso vorhandenen theoretischen Behandlung vor allem Unterrichtsmaterialien zu Giftpflanzen und -tieren. Doch auch für das Thema "Toxikologie" gilt selbstverständlich, dass die experimentelle Behandlung im Unterricht einer rein theoretischen Erarbeitung vorzuziehen ist. Empirische Untersuchungen belegen, dass der Chemieunterricht von den Schülern eher als positiv erlebt wird, wenn experimentiert wird. Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit wurden deshalb Experimente entwickelt, mit deren Hilfe im Chemieunterricht ein Basiswissen zur Toxikologie erarbeitet werden kann. Insbesondere können den Schülern anhand der Versuche Antworten auf folgende Fragen gegeben werden: Was ist ein Gift? Wie reagiert ein Organismus auf ein Gift? Was bewirkt ein Gift im Organismus? Wie kann eine Vergiftung behandelt werden und worauf sollte dabei geachtet werden? Zunächst werden daher theoretische Grundlagen erarbeitet, wobei die aufgeführten Fragen im Mittelpunkt stehen (Kapitel2). Im Folgenden werden dann methodisch-didaktische Überlegungen angestellt. Ausdrücklich wird darauf eingegangen,
