He works as an educational consultant and has made presentations and conducted workshops for teachers, administrators and staff developers on leadership, and learning, personal and organizational development on five continents and in twenty-four countries. Bob is an award-winning author of books and articles, authoring ten books and over one hundred publications on educational leadership, learning, coaching, and staff development. He was formerly a principal in Saudi Arabia, a teacher, principal, acting superintendent and curriculum director and professor in the United States. His work has been translated into Arabic, Dutch, Hebrew, Italian, and Spanish. Diane P. Zimmerman is a writer and consultant focusing on entrepreneurial learning and schools that make a difference. She retired as a superintendent after a 36-year career in education that was rich in leadership, facilitation, and conflict management. Diane has been an active in professional development all of her career. While obtaining her administrative credential, Diane was assigned to Bob Garmston as her intern coach. This early career interaction turned into a life-long intellectual partnership and Diane joined the Cognitive Coaching consulting consortium founded by Bob Garmston and Art Costa. James L. Roussin has worked as an assistant superintendent, language arts teacher, ESL coordinator and adjunct professor. Jim is currently the executive director for Generative Learning.
