Ergo ist der Umgang mit dieser Thematik eine Herausforderung, der wir uns in unserer heutigen Gesellschaft mehr denn je stellen müssen. Vor diesem Hintergrund verfolgt die vorliegende Hausarbeit das Ziel, die Begrifflichkeiten "Transkulturalität" und "interkulturelle Pädagogik" hinsichtlich ihrer theoretischen Grundlagen, ihrer (historischen) Entwicklung sowie ihrer aktuellen (pädagogisch-gesellschaftlichen) Bedeutung in den Fokus meiner Betrachtung zu rücken. Als angehender Lehrer für Erdkunde und Geschichte an Sekundarschulen bezieht sich mein Erkenntnisinteresse dabei in erster Linie auf die praxisnahe (also alltägliche) Bedeutung von Transkulturalität und interkultureller Erziehung im Rahmen pädagogischer Einrichtungen in Deutschland. Doch inwiefern geht es hierbei um weit mehr als nur die blo e pädagogische Wahrnehmung von Unterschiedlichkeiten? Und wie können Kinder und Jugendliche so auf ihr späteres Leben vorbereitet werden, dass sie ein Weltbild entwickeln, welches sich daran ausrichtet, kulturelle Vielfalt als Bereicherung für eine Gesellschaft anzusehen?
