En el Sureste mexicano uno puede encontrar opciones de turismo tan caras como baratas, aunque estas últimas cada vez son más escasas, pero todavía disponibles. Sin embargo, no todas las opciones caras o populares son las mejores, porque hay muchas otras posibilidades menos populares o, de plano, casi desconocidas, que son tan o más valiosas que los atractivos más llamativos de la zona.

En este libro describo seis viajes distintos, en épocas diferentes, en los cuales me permití recorrer diversos lugares del sureste mexicano, durante dichas travesías, aprendí a valorar más a mi país, además de que también fui creciendo con cada experiencia, tanto buena como mala.
