About The Author

Wian and his dad, Peter, were born in South Africa and spent much time in the nature-rich Bushveld of the African planes ... Wian is a grade 7 student and his dad, an engineer by trade, is a full-time businessman. Wian and his family relocated to the USA in 2009. Today they are dual citizens of the USA and South Africa. Storytelling was always a fun pastime habit in the family and while mom Magdalena Liesl (Leesee to her friends) embarked on her career as author, Wian inspired his dad to assist him in writing his first novel, Trials in the Jungle, and now, the sequel: Trials in the Ocean. The second book in the Trials-trilogy. Leesee also contributed in the writing of Trials of the Jungle and did the proofreading for Trials in the Ocean, when she was not too busy with her own writing projects or to support the authors with motivation, coffee, and love. Wian is an avid sports fan, snowboarder, and outdoorsman, keeping active in team sports. Together with his older siblings, they make an annual effort to spend time in nature and on the ski slopes. Wian and his mom and dad live in Charlotte, North Carolina.
