Es wird der Frage nachgegangen, welchen Stellenwert diese mediterranen Importgüter nördlich der Alpen besa en. Wussten die frühen Kelten um den Ablauf eines Symposions oder wollten sie blo ihre Mitmenschen beeindrucken mit exotischen Protzereien? Tranken sie verdünnten Wein aus attischer Feinkeramik oder standen die qualitativen Schalen im Regal während mit Met und Bier gefeiert wurde? Dieser Frage widmet sich die vorliegende Arbeit. Anhand der Befunde der Heuneburg und des Fürstengrabs von Hochdorf sollen Beispiele für jenen Gütertransfer und mögliche Belege für einen Ideentransfer gezeigt werden. Anschlie end werden die Wege und Gründe für solch eine Entwicklung dargestellt, sodass zum Schluss resümiert wird über den Stellenwert der Importe.
