Behera, Swadhin Kumar: - Dr. Swadhin Kumar Behera is a distinguished scientist in climate variability and predictability research with a particular emphasis on the role of oceans in modes of tropical and extratropical climate variations. He has been working in JAMSTEC for more than 20 years and is significantly involved in the climate prediction and application research during these years. He currently heads the Application Laboratory and also serves as an adjunct professor in the University of Tokyo. He has published more than 100 articles in highly cited international journals with an average citation of 46 and an h-factor of 34.
