Joygopal Podder is a gold medalist law graduate from Delhi University. Born in London, Joygopal worked for some time in the Middle East before settling down in the National Capital Region. Although his interests range from social work to stock markets and the science of branding and marketing, writing is his first love. Joygopal used to be a freelance writer right from his school and college days. Joygopal Podder moved to the social sector after working for 17 years in the corporate sector as a marketing professional. Currently, he is Director Fundraising for the India chapter of an international anti-poverty development agency. Earlier, he worked for a leading child welfare organization and an NGO looking after the elderly. He has also been CEO of a PSU-promoted NGO working in the area of health care. Truth is Stranger than Fiction is Joygopal’s seventh book. His other six books are: The Landlord’s Secret and Other Stories; Deceivers (containing two short novels); High Alert; Superstar; Millennium City; and The Inheritance.
