Every morning in Slayton, Minnesota, the people listening to the local radio station, KJOE, hear the "Moments of Meditation" sponsored by Trinity Lutheran Church (LCMS). Here are the devotions which were aired in 2022. For the most part, the 2022 Moments of Meditation are based on the Gospel reading as found in the One Year (historic) pericopal system. We strive to properly divide God's Law and Gospel as we bring the good news of salvation by grace through faith to our community. Each devotion, when recorded, is less than two minutes long, which provides a challenge to concisely speak of God's grace, love, and mercy.

Williams, Jeff: - Rev Dr Jeff Williams, the pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church (LCMS), Slayton, Minnesota, has been writing these devotions for three years. Before accepting the call to serve this congregation, he served congregations in Colorado, Wisconsin, and Kansas. Dr Williams has a PhD in Education, granted by Kansas State University in 2005. In addition to the "Moments of Meditation" devotions, he has written a beginning textbook for computer science, numerous articles for the Civil Air Patrol Chaplain Corps, and has presented several papers on using Linux in educational settings. He and his wife of five-plus decades live in Slayton, Minnesota, where he continues to serve at Trinity Lutheran Church (LCMS).
