Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Seas is a classic science fiction novel written by French author Jules Verne and first published in 1870. The story follows Professor Pierre Aronnax, a French marine biologist, as he embarks on a journey aboard the submarine Nautilus, commanded by the enigmatic Captain Nemo.

Verne, Jules: - Jules Verne was a French writer, born on 8 February 1828 in Nantes, France.
