From the Back Cover
This book covers newly emerging two-dimensional nanomaterials which have been recently used for the purpose of water purification. It focuses on the synthesis methods of 2D materials and answers how scientists/engineers/nanotechnologist/environmentalists could use these materials for fabricating new separation membranes and most probably making commercially feasible technology. The chapters are written by a collection of international experts ensuring a broad view of each topic. The book will be of interest to experienced researchers as well as young scientists looking for an introduction into 2D materials-based cross-disciplinary research.

Dr. Rasel Das is working as a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Chemistry, Stony Brook University, NY, USA. He was a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow at the Global Innovation Center (GIC), Kyushu University from 2018 to 2020. He secured DAAD Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Leibniz-Institute of Surface Engineering, Leipzig, Germany in 2017. He is leading the research and product development team of Water Desalination and Transport Division, MHD Technology Corp. Florida, USA. He has published many journal articles, books and editorials, examining and defining Functional Nanomaterials for Water Purification. He has been invited to discuss his research at many prestigious institutions like Harvard University and National Institute of Health, USA. He has been awarded and honored by Elsevier-Atlas (2015) and BSN Academic Award (2015). He is on the editorial board member of the Journal of Environmental & Analytical Toxicology, Lead Guest Editor of Desalination Journal and reviewer of manyinternational journals. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Malaya, Malaysia after being awarded with distinctions in both undergraduate and postgraduate studies from the University of Science and Technology Chittagong. His doctorate thesis was on the Functionalization of Carbon Nanotube and Development of NanoBiohybrid for Water Purification.
