Ziel der modernen westlichen Erziehung ist der eigenst ndig handelnde und emanzipierte Mensch, der sein Leben gestalten und planen kann. Aus diesem Grund ist auch nichts so zeitgem wie die Kritik am Deutschen Bildungswesen: dies zeigen nicht zuletzt die seit einigen Jahren in Deutschland und Europa gef hrten Debatten um die PISA-Studie und den sogenannten Bologna-Prozess, durch die eine erregt gef hrte und noch immer anhaltende Bildungsdebatte um das deutsche Bildungssystem erneut entbrannt ist. Dieses Bologna-Prozess genannte Vorhaben zur Schaffung eines einheitlichen europ ischen Hochschulwesens bis zum Jahr 2010 hat inzwischen etliche Kritiker wie den in dieser Arbeit zitierten Wiener Philosophen Konrad Paul Liessmann auf den Plan gerufen: dieser bringt in seinem Buch "Theorie der Unbildung: Die Irrt mer der Wissensgesellschaft" die Bef rchtung zum Ausdruck, dass das Studium zunehmend auf rein wirtschaftliche und berufsbezogene Kriterien reduziert und damit das vormalige Bildungsideal aufgegeben werde. Und auch Friedrich Nietzsche - um den es im weiteren Verlauf der Arbeit gehen soll - hat sich seinerzeit ausf hrlich und kritisch mit seiner zeitgen ssischen Bildung und Erziehung auseinandergesetzt. Bereits in seiner Antrittsrede an der Universit t Basel als Professor f r alte Sprachen u erte sich Nietzsche 1872 in seinen Basler Bildungsvortr gen "Ueber die Zukunft unserer Bildungsanstalten" kritisch zu Bildungszielen und Bildungsniveau in den verschiedenen wilhelminischen Bildungsanstalten.
