Magisterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2005 im Fachbereich Philosophie - Theoretische (Erkenntnis, Wissenschaft, Logik, Sprache), Note: 1,8, Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universität Hannover (Philosophisches Seminar), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Über die Sprache der Tiere - Eine Revision älterer und neuerer Forschungsliteratur So selbstverständlich die Sprache am menschlichen Leben zu haften scheint, so problematisch stellt sich die Frage dar, ob die Sprache als ein rein menschliches Vermögen zu betrachten sei, oder ob andere Lebewesen auch über etwas verfügen, das sich als Sprache bezeichnen lie e. Schlie lich ist offensichtlich, da auch tierisches Leben durchaus über Laute verfügt, und da Tiere derselben Spezies auch in der Lage sind, sich einander mitzuteilen. Obwohl diese Tatsachen mittlerweile aufgrund von Forschungsergebnissen eindeutig zu erkennen sind, tut man sich schwer damit, eine "Tiersprache" anzuerkennen. Stattdessen gilt die Sprache als ausschlie lich menschliches Merkmal, welches der Tierwelt vorenthalten bleibt. Was aber unterscheidet die lautlichen Äu erungen der Tiere von der Sprache der Menschen, so da letzteren eine vollständige Sprache, ersteren aber nur unartikulierte Gefühlsausdrücke oder allenfalls primitive Verständigungssysteme zugesprochen werden? Welche Unterschiede lassen sich anhand älterer sowie neuerer philosophischer und naturwissenschaftlicher Werke feststellen? Oder existieren auch grundlegende Gemeinsamkeiten, die letztendlich vielleicht doch die Bezeichnung "Sprache der Tiere" rechtfertigen können ? Im Rahmen meiner Magisterarbeit werde ich mich mit den eben genannten Fragen beschäftigen und unter Berufung auf diverse (ältere und neuere) Autoren verschiedene Ansätze zur Behandlung dieses Themas darstellen. Besonders (sprach-)philosophische und anthropologische, aber auch biologische Faktoren sollen dabei Berücksichtigung finden.
