Die Verarbeitung von Textilfasern zu Gespinsten bringt es mit sich, daB einmal das Fasermaterial einer gewissen Beanspruchung wahrend einzelner Prozesse ausgesetzt ist, zum anderen neben nichttextilen Bestandteilen ein zwar geringer, aber vielfach registrierbarer Anteil von Fasern selbst ausgeschieden wird. rm ersteren Fall konnen die Fasern durch die techni- schen Vorgange, die zu ihrer VergleichmaBigung, Parallelisierung und dgl. dienen, beansprucht werden, im zweiten Fall werden sowohl Fasern als sol- che, wie auch Fasern, die an den nichttextilen Bestandteilen haften, aus- geschieden. Es liegt auf der Hand, daB beide EinfluBgroBen sich auf das Endprodukt auswirken bzw. auswirken konnen. Die Vorstellungen hieruber sind jedoch allgemein nur ungenau. Zwar laSt sich vom technischen Standpunkt aus exakt erklaren, was mit den Fasern geschieht und weshalb sie im Endprodukt diese oder jene Lage einnehmen, es laBt sich auch nachweisen, warum bei- spielsweise Schmutzteile, Vegetabilien und andere Verunreinigungen aus- geschieden werden, jedoch fehlt es an der Vorstellung daruber, inwieweit die inneren und auBeren Eigenschaften der Fasern durch diese Prozesse be- einfluBt werden. Fur den Verarbeiter ist die Kenntnis uber diese Sachlage jedoch von Bedeutung. U. a. mochte er beispielsweise wissen, inwieweit die Fasern des Endproduktes noch die gleichen Eigenschaften haben wie das Ausgangsmaterial und ob die ausgeschiedenen Fasern noch in der gleichen Weise fur textile Verwendungszwecke geeignet sind. 2. Aufgabenstellung Im Rahmen der Forschungsaufgabe des Deutschen Wollforschungsinstitutes "Erforschung der physikalischen und chemischen Veranderungen der Wolle wahrend Verarbeitung und Verbrauch" sollte zunachst untersucht werden, wie sich die Eigenschaften der Wolle wahrend des Kammereiprozesses, d. h.
